sorry about the lack of blog posts in the past seven-ish months but life got in the way as it sometimes tends to do. i don't know how to recap every detail without boring you to death. here's what i want to remember (so i guess you get to read. HA!)
* i love neurology. i found this out during my acute rotation when i was on the neuro icu. my favorite patient (EVER!) was a sweetheart of a 90-something year old man who had fallen and hit his head resulting in a subdural hematoma and then weeks later a craniotomy. i also got to insert my first successful iv in his forearm.
* i graduated from nursing school. easily the hardest thing i've done in my life. i also made some fabulous friends that i love with all my heart.
* i failed the nclex. definitely not my proudest moment but something that has made me a stronger and better and more faithful (and the list could go on!) person and nurse. and definitely something that i must remember all my life because of who i am now. failing this test is probably the second hardest thing i've done in my life.
* i took the nclex for the second time on april 11th. found out i passed and got my nursing license on the 12th. the happiest day of my life thus far.
