new shoes

i got new "running" shoes. and by running i mean walking. i love them. they are bright and obnoxious. the only thing that would make them cooler is if the lime green glowed in the dark. wouldn't that be awesome? i wore them today on my five mile run/walk. after the second mile, i noticed that my sock started slipping down beneath the shoe and now i have a blister. i am a frequent blister getter. you could compare it to how a fat kid likes cake. me getting a blister is almost not stoppable. i know that was kinda mean but that was the only analogy i could think of.

the only thing that makes working out tolerable for me is music. my favorite music to listen to is country and teenie-bopper (this term to me is all inclusive of pop, hip hop, top forty songs and pretty much everything else) music.  according to my work-out playlist the following are the most commonly listened to songs while i work out:
  •  eric church: springsteen
  • the lumineers: ho hey
  • demi lovato: give your heart a break
  • gotye: somebody that i used to know
  • lee brice: hard to love
  • fun.: we are young
  • calvin harris: feel so close
  • justin beiber: boyfriend
  • flo rida: wild one
  • katy perry: part of me
what do you listen to keep you in the mood to keep moving?

{even though my play list suggesst other wise, i would say the ratio of music i listen to is eighy-five percent country and fifteen percent teenie-bopper. you can make fun of me. i don't really care.}

1- LOVE your shoes!
2- What socks are you wearing? If you haven't already, I would highly recommend synthetic socks (in fact I got some good ones at the running store there, I think it's over by 5 Guys maybe?). I'm like you--always blistering, except with these socks. Hopefully that helps.
3- I love this question--music makes such a huge difference when working out. My tops right now: almost anything by Deadmau5 (check out Ghosts n Stuff--awesome beats!), Sail by AWOLNATION, Strict Machine by Goldfrapp, Cracks by Freestylers, and one more, Love Like a Sunset (Part 1) by Phoenix.

p.s. 5 miles?! You rock, woman!:)
