essay to nuRsing school

I applied to nursing school {for a very very intense 13 month advanced program for people who already have a bachelor's degree}. With my application I had to sumbit a maximum of three hundred word essay. For your reading pleasure, I offer you my brothers essay that he wrote to my creative "juices" flowing.

Earth. Where I was born, not too long ago – 28 years to be exact. In these 28 years, like any normal, human girl, I have strived to find my place here. For these 28 years, it’s been a mostly fruitless search. Until now. Early in my scholastic career, I thought finance would be the fit for me. My ultimate career goals were to find something where I could associate with my fellow man, and help those struggling in a deep pit of financial burden. But I was unfulfilled. Like some forgotten plant in a shadowed nook of the yard, I didn’t have what I needed to grow. Too late, I realized a career in finance wouldn’t help me fulfill the desires of my heart. As one typically does in trying times, I turned inward, searching for something, anything, which could fill this empty spot in my soul. During this inward search I remembered that throughout high school and college I was fascinated as I learned about the anatomy and physiology of the human body. I realized I craved to know more about the human body, this tabernacle of clay. Soon after this epiphany, I acknowledge to myself that the in the career of nursing, all the desires of my heart could be fulfilled. I would have a special, short bond, with countless numbers of people, as they came to me, in need of aid. I realized that I would learn vast amounts about the function, the anatomy, close to everything there is to know about the human tabernacle of clay. My search was over. I knew I had finally found what I was here to do. Nursing. This is why, with great relish, and joy, I commit myself, to working and learning like an unstoppable train anything tangent with the wide field of nursing.

To bad it was a three hundred and four words. Thanks for you help Shane!
